 It is my mission to impact lives through my words, as I take a stand against domestic violence. Not only am I an advocate against domestic violence, but, I'm also a survivor. I choose not to be a victim, and I want to empower other women to be able to do the same. Together, we can make a difference, because, no one deserves to be abused. It is my prayer that abusees get out of these dangerous situations, and that abusers get the help that they need.

There are many types of domestic violence, as demonstrated in Somebody Prayed for Me, an anthology by myself, Linda R. Herman, and Tinisha Nicole Johnson.
